Coffee Enema

The aim of a coffee enema, which is administered after a colonic treatment, is to help clean the colon and stimulate the liver. The coffee is said to help stimulate glutathione production by the liver, which is involved in tissue building and repair.

Coffee Enema with Colonic

The aim of the coffee in an enema is to help clean the colon and stimulate the liver. This enema is said to help stimulate glutathione production by the liver, which is involved in tissue building and repair. It also helps combat free radicals and acts as a defence against oxidative stress, as well as stimulating the colon to produce a bowel movement.

I carry out a Colonic treatment and then at the end I introduce the coffee into the first part of colon and you hold onto it for between 10-15 mins.

Please. note: Colonic Hydrotherapy is not in any way intended as a ‘cure’ or ‘medical’ treatment. It should not be seen as an alternative to seeing your GP if you have any health concerns. Neither is intended to infer or imply symptoms of IBS or other bowel conditions will be solved.

Using herbal infusions including wheatgrass during a colonic

The herbs we use are tailored to you, I can use tinctures as well as fresh, organic herbs that have been infused. These act directly on the bowel muscle wall to allow it to relax, release and allows the muscle to return to its proper function. The gentle filling and emptying of the bowel then aids the natural bowel rhythm to be restored and has a toning effect. The body is very habit forming so colonics can aid the body to restore a natural rhythm.

Using more stimulating herbs can help to have a toning effect on the colon and help the bowel work more effectively. Some bitter herbs have an effect on stimulating bile from the liver which in turn couldstimulate the gut and digestive system.

What is Wheatgrass?

Wheatgrass is the young grass of the common wheat plant, Triticum aestivum. It’s often consumed as a juice or powder and is known for its high concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

A Colonic treatment is also part of this treatment. During or at the end of the treatment, the wheatgrass or herbs are introduced via an enema kit.

Castor Oil Colonic

A castor oil wrap is gently applied to the tummy and liver area before your colonic session.
The cloth is soaked in castor oil and covered with a warm heat pack, allowing you to rest and relax.
Once the wrap time is complete, your colonic treatment begins.
