Colon Clinic – A New U
For many people, booking their first colonic hydrotherapy session can feel like a big step. It is completely natural to feel unsure or have questions about what to expect.
At Colon Clinic – A New U, my aim is to ensure every client feels comfortable, informed and supported from the very first contact through to long-term digestive health. This guide outlines what you can expect at each stage of your journey.
Your First Appointment
Your initial visit is about much more than just the treatment itself. It is an opportunity to understand your health, your concerns and your goals.
Consultation
We begin with a confidential consultation where I will ask about:
- Your digestive health and symptoms
- Medical history (this is captured by online medical form)
- Current diet and lifestyle
- Any medications or supplements
This is an important step to ensure colonic hydrotherapy is suitable for you and to tailor the session to your individual needs.
Explanation and Preparation
Before treatment, I will explain the procedure clearly, answer any questions and ensure you feel fully at ease. You will never feel rushed.
You will be given privacy to prepare, and your dignity is maintained at all times throughout the session.
During the Treatment
Colonic hydrotherapy at A New U is a gentle and controlled process.
Warm, filtered water is introduced into the colon using specialised and single use equipment. The process helps to soften and encourage the natural elimination of waste.
Throughout the session:
- You remain covered and comfortable
- The process is gradual and guided
- I monitor the treatment at all times
- Gentle abdominal massage may be used to support movement
Many clients find the experience much more relaxing than they expected.
After Your Session
Following your treatment, we take time to discuss how you are feeling and what was observed during the session.
Aftercare Advice
You may be given guidance on:
- Hydration
- Dietary adjustments
- Supplement support if appropriate
- Lifestyle recommendations
Some clients feel lighter and more energised, while others may feel slightly tired. Both responses are normal and usually short-lived.
Creating a Personalised Plan
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to colonic hydrotherapy.
Depending on your symptoms and goals, I may recommend a short course of treatments to support the body more effectively. This is always discussed with you, and there is no pressure.
A plan may be helpful if you are experiencing:
- Chronic constipation
- Bloating
- Irregular bowel habits
- Digestive discomfort
The aim is always to support your body’s natural function rather than create dependency.
Maintenance and Long-Term Support
Once your digestive system becomes more balanced, some clients choose occasional maintenance sessions.
These may be beneficial during:
- Periods of stress
- Dietary changes
- Seasonal transitions
- Travel or routine disruption
Maintenance is entirely individual and based on your needs and preferences.
Professional and Safe Practice
I ensure all treatments are carried out in line with professional guidelines, with a strong focus on hygiene, safety and client care.
Your wellbeing is always the priority, and I will only recommend treatment where it is appropriate.
When to Seek Medical Advice
Colonic hydrotherapy is a supportive therapy and not a substitute for medical care.
If you experience:
- Persistent abdominal pain
- Blood in the stool
- Sudden or unexplained changes in bowel habits
- Unintended weight loss
You should consult your GP promptly.
Supporting You Every Step of the Way
Taking the first step towards improving your digestive health can feel daunting, but you are not alone.
My role is to guide and support you with care, professionalism and understanding, helping you move towards better gut health at a pace that feels right for you.
If you would like to discuss your concerns or book an appointment, please feel free to get in touch.
